The K-1 Center is participating in
Read Across America.
 
As we focus on reading awareness, each classroom has been challenged to set a goal
for the number of books they can read by
March 2nd.  The classes that meet their
goal will have a class photo taken with
Mr. Doherty's racecar which will be on
display at the K-1 Center.  Each class will
keep a tally sheet with the number of books read.  Books read in class, individually,
and at home will count in the total.

March 2007 Update
 
K-1 students are working hard to
reach their goal for the Race to Read 2007 challenge.  Our school has read 5,474 books since February 5th.  We are so proud of their hard work.
